Leola M Thompson 82 of Benton Harbor, heard the master say well done thy good and faithful servant, she crossed the finish-line of this life and transitioned from earthly labor to her heavenly reward on November 24. 2017.

Legacy Farewell Celebration will commence 11am Sat. Dec 2nd, located in Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, with calling hours from 10am until the time of service.

 Leola was born in Greenville, Mississippi she married the love of her life James Melvin Thompson on December 9, 1953 and to that union six children was born.  Being a resident of Benton Harbor for 45 years, she was a true nurturer and labeled as one of the mama’s of Berrien Holmes. Leola was known as a fashionista and outgoing person, who loved to travel, dance, and fishing.  She was known as a family oriented woman that would help anybody who was in need.

 She leaves to cherish precious memories three daughters, Christine Steptoe of WI, Ella Willis and Betty Thompson of Benton Harbor, MI. Two sons Frank Thompson of Wisconsin, and Charles Thompson of Grand Rapids Mi. One Sister Juanita Lee of Alabama, 18 grandchildren 26 greatgrandchildren, 7 great-great children and a host of other relatives and friends.
