Vivian Brown was born February 23, 1950, in Benton Harbor, Ml to the union of Voyd and Easter Thomas Senior.
Vivian graduated from Benton Harbor High School and was raised and baptized at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Vivian was a devoted wife to Ronnie Brown and mother to her children Darius Thomas (deceased) and Teleyia Channey.
Vivian dedicated many years of her life to working for AT&T, where she worked diligently until her well-deserved retirement. Initially based in Houston, Texas, she committed herself to the company for several years before relocating to Michigan, where she cherished being closer to her beloved family and friends. Vivian's memory will be cherished by her family and friends as someone who effortlessly connected with others and whose company was filled with warmth, laughter, and joy. She was a source of guidance, offering honest advice that was valued by those around her.
Vivian's joy stemmed from the precious moments she shared with her grandchildren. She held immense pride and love for them, cherishing every moment spent together. Her grandkids found comfort in being able to talk to her about everything and future dreams.
They also found a love for watching cooking shows together and watching America's Funniest Home Videos. When tears fell, she had the magic touch to lull them to sleep, a talent unmatched by anyone else. She was very proud of them and loved them very much.
Vivian was preceded in death by her son Darius Thomas, her parents Voyd and Easter Thomas, brothers Voyd Thomas Jr., Larry Thomas Sr., Robert Thomas, Charles Thomas, and sister Glendine Kay Reed.
Vivian Brown leaves behind a cherished legacy of love and unforgettable memories. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ronnie Brown, and daughter, Teleyia (Eric) Channey. She will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by her granddaughter, Amber Thomas, and grandsons Logan Hankey, Eric Channey, Thomas Channey, and Matthew Channey. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Beatrice (David) Davis, and will be remembered by her sister-in-laws, Betty Thomas and Rosie Thomas. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Charles Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
