Bro. Timothy “Slow Drag” Turner
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. II Cor. 5:8
Bro. Timothy Edward “Slow Drag” Turner, 56 of Benton Harbor, Michigan transitioned from this life on Wednesday, August 15, 2024, peacefully completing his earthly journey.
Timmy, “Slow Drag”, as he was lovingly known to loved ones and special friends, was born October 18, 1967, to Raymond Pullium and Flora Turner. He proudly attended Benton Harbor High School. He enjoyed his employment at Dawson Manufacturing, Summit Power Company, Hoffman Die Cast and Modern Plastics. He gained knowledge from each job and took it to the next one and continued to grow with each one.
“Slow Drag” was an outgoing person that enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He was well known for walking everywhere he went, until his health begin to fail. He might accept a ride….if his mood so indicated. He enjoyed caring and helping with the care of his mother as much as he possibly could. He cooked meals and prepared her daily medication and made certain she was taking each and every one, often denying himself of his own medicine.
Precious memories will be cherished by his mother Flora Turner; Sister, Virginia “Kandy” (Jerry) Crump; (all of Benton Harbor); Uncle: Roy Turner; Aunt: Josie Holmes; Nephews: Lamont Turner, and Tony Turner, both of Kansas City, MO; Jermaine (Vanessa) Turner, Indianapolis, IN, Corbin (Vicki)Turner of Benton Harbor; One niece: Jerrika Crump, Benton Harbor, MI; Great nephews: Jermaine, Lamont Jr., Corbin, Tony Jr., and Major; Great nieces: LaJashion, Angel, A’Mya, DeZariyah Hollinger, Aaurie, Navayah, Aria Palmer, Armyni, Coryanna; A great-great niece: Willow Simmons, and a host of cousins and friends. “Slow Drag” was very much loved and will forever be in our hearts.
