Terry White Obituary

Terry Lynette White was born November 5, 1960, to John White and Maxine Taylor in Benton Harbor, MI. Terry departed this life surrounded with love from her children and close family on February 13, 2026, at the age of 65. Terry graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1978. From there she pursued her studies at Davenport University, where she earned an associate degree. Terry was a long-term employee of AT&T (formerly named Michigan Bell Telephone Company) where she was known for her joyful spirit and bringing laughter to the workplace. Terry retired from AT&T in 2011 after 25 years of service in communications.

Terry’s presence never went unnoticed in any environment. You knew Terry was in the building. She loved music and wasn’t a bit scared to get on the dance floor. She loved spending time with her family and friends. You could call her day or night and the door was always open. Terry enjoyed going to bingo and most definitely the casino with her mother.

Terry will be lovingly remembered and honored by her daughters, Crystal Baker, Candice (Oliver) Givhan, a special bonus daughter of love Crystal Williams, and her only beloved son Michael Williams. Her grandchildren Da’Quoriell Sterling, Na’Staja Shepard, Antonio Gilliam, Cri’Shon Shepard, Isyss Edge, Ahmad Williams, Alexander Williams, Imani Givhan, and a bonus granddaughter Dezyra Holbrook.

Terry is survived by her three brothers Wayne White, Victor (Kathrine) White, and Tony (Shawn) Franks-Taylor.  Seven sisters Tina Parker, Tangela Weatherspoon, Mary White, Patricia Ruffin, Diane Mickens, Donna Jean McClelland, and Francine Woods.

She was proceeded in death by her father and mother, John and Maxine Taylor -White, her son- in-law Niquay Baker, brother, Tony Jacobs White, brothers-in-law David Parker and Al Woods.
