Terry Lamb 58 of Benton Harbor, transitioned on August 20, 2018, at Pine Ridge nursing home of Stevensville, MI.
Terry Dean Lamb was born on December 30, 1959, at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor, MI to the late Lonzo and Alma Lamb. Terry attended Benton Harbor High school and entered the workforce as a teacher’s aide at Johnson and Martindale Elementary school. She also worked at Adco Diecast, Hoffman Tool and Die JL French, and Cook Nuclear Plant.
Terry was a member of St. Mathews Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for young adults. Terry and her kids volunteered cleaning up the church on weekends.
Terry leaves precious memories in the hearts of her children Arlando, Brandon, and Kelly Lamb. Four siblings, Lonnie Covington, Linda (Antonio) Jeffries, Kay (Leon) Farley, and Lonzo (Miriam) Lamb. 5 grandchildren Arlando Jr., Landann, Arlandrea, Brandon Jr. Lamb and Jahmire Gaines. Nieces and nephews Terrance, Vivian, Valinda, Alvin, lil Mitch (Jennifer), Lynnette, Leon III, Eboni, Amanda, Kaniya, Lonzo Jr., Caiden and special family friends Katie Roseburg, Karen Head, and Marcus Gungler.
Terry had a stroke in 2009 and was later diagnosed with Lupus. Terry was hospitalized in December 2017 with pneumonia. With her having Lupus it was difficult for her to fight pneumonia, which caused another stroke, and she eventually transitioned on August 20th.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alma and Lonzo (Sport) Lamb.
Legacy farewell services will be held on August 24, 2018, at St Matthews Baptist Church, 2026 Highland Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022 with visitation starting at 12:00 noon, with services following at 12:30 pm.
