Shawn D'Che Clark, was born on August 29, 1974, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, unfortunately, he left us too soon on September 14, 2023. He was the beloved son to Ricki Noel Clark and Brenda Fay (Massey) Clark. He spent his early years in Benton Harbor and found Christ at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
During his youth, Shawn worked as a golf course caddy, which brought him joy. The earnings from this job allowed him to buy a moped, which allowed him to find freedom as he and his childhood friend, Melvin Stephens Jr., rode the streets of Benton Harbor. Shawn attended Benton Harbor area schools, Coloma, and Battle Creek. In 1993, Shawn graduated from Benton Harbor High School, where he participated in JROTC and the National Guard program. He also briefly served in the U.S. Army.
Shawn deeply valued family and his relationship with the Lord. He married Teresa (Glenn) Clark in 1995, and together they raised four wonderful children: Jeremiah Dhani Clark, Angelica Grace Clark, Madison Faith Clark, and Alexandra Joy Clark.
Shawn was a man of simple pleasures; he loved watching movies, and his infectious humor could light up an entire room, filling it with laughter. He also found joy in the kitchen, taking pride in cooking delicious meals for his family. His determination knew no bounds, as he was unwavering in his commitment to ensuring his children succeeded academically and in life.
Real estate held a special place in Shawn's heart, and he found fulfillment working as a courier at Liberty Title Company in Ann Arbor, MI. His dedication led to a role in records management, and he pursued his own real estate venture with "the Frederick St. house." Additionally, he worked as a property manager.
Shawn is survived by his parents, Ricki Noel Clark and Brenda (Massey) Clark; his children, Jeramiah Dhani Clark, Angelica Grace Clark, Madison Faith Clark, and Alexandra Joy Clark, along with their mother, Teresa (Glenn) Clark; and his brothers, Ricky Clark, Darren Clark, and Correy Clark. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Shawn was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leon Massey, and Rosa (Hildreth) Massey, as well as his paternal grandparents, Albert Clark and Helen (Phillip) Clark.
In his memory, we celebrate the life of Shawn D'Che Clark, a man of faith, family, and a passion for real estate. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
