Shanise Tucker

Shanise “Rain Rain” Tucker, 22 of Benton Harbor went home to be with the Lord April 19, 2022 at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph.

Shanise was born August 27, 1999 in St. Joseph to Lolita and Kevin Tucker.  She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 2017 and attended Ross Collage where she was on track to graduate in August as a CNA. Shanise was employed at the Whitcomb as an activity’s coordinator. She was baptized at the age of 10 and liked attending church.

Shanise was known as a kind, loving person like her aunties. She was very motivated, working 3 jobs and going to school even when she was going through difficult times. Shanise loved to spend time with her family and friends especially her nieces and nephews who were like children to her.

Shanise leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Lolita Acklin, Benton Harbor; sisters, Rhonda, Whitney and Shaqull Acklin of Benton Harbor; brothers, Calvin Acklin of Grand Rapids, Ronald and Shawn Acklin of Benton Harbor; grandmother, Alma Acklin; friend, Tamar; special niece, JuJu; special uncles, Daryl Long; godfather, Edell Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles,family and friends.

Shanise is preceded in death by her father, Kevin Eugene Tucker; grandmother, Lorene Tucker; grandfather, Curtis Eugene Tucker Jr.; grandfather, Joe Acklin; uncle, Andre Acklin.
