Sarah (Tucker) Hetherington

Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Hetherington was born January 13, 1937, to the union of the late John Tucker and Pearlie Tucker of Monroe County, Alabama.

Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Hetherington transitioned this life to glory, peacefully surrounded by her sister and family on a Holy Saturday, March 30, 2024, at home in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  Where she resided with her sister for the past three years.

Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Hetherington was a jewel of Christ She accepted Christ at an early age! 

She married into Holy Matrimony of 55 years to the late Ernest Hetherington. 

Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Hetherington was a strong believer in the body of Christ, throughout her life salvation she protected holiness in the obedience to God.  Her dedication as Co-Pastor under the leadership of Apostle S.D. James Pastor and Bishop of Evangelistic Pentecostal Church located in Monroeville, Alabama.  A faithful servant of God, for over 30 years. Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Hetherington was indeed a strong woman of God!

Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Hetherington was an entrepreneur, owner of her beauty salon, and licensed Beautician.  She held many titles as a leader and pillar of her community throughout her life’s journey.

Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Hetherington was affectionately known by her family as “Toot”, “Say-Say” and Aunt Sarah.  Aunt “Say-Say” was truly respected, admired, and loved by so many, her family, her Bishop, her Congregation, and her friends.  She was also known for her signature Hats and fashionable attire!  With such a humble spirit and the biggest roar for the will of God!  She will be truly missed.  Christ was her Life!!

Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Hetherington leaves to cherish her memories; three sisters Susie (Clyde) Locke, Pastor Isaac-1st Lady Mae Haslam, and Annie-Pearl (Thomas) White.

Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Heatherington was preceded in death by her Parents John Tucker and Pearlie (Roberts)Tucker, Husband of 55 years Ernest Hetherington, siblings Woodrow (Hazel) Tucker, Leo (Margeret) Tucker, Willie J. (Laura) Tucker, Ossie-Lee (Hubert) McNeal, Ida-Mae (Jimmy) Lawson, Creolia (John) White, Liston (Fannie-Bell) Tucker, John Tucker Jr., Juanita (Lemon) Perdue and Earl (Beverly) Tucker.

Co-Pastor Sarah Tucker Heatherington also leaves to cherish; special nieces Theresa White and Iris White, God Son- Pastor Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
