A life of love and laughter is to be celebrated, never mourned. Such a life began when Sandra Jean Roseburgh was born to the union of James and Dorothy Roseburgh on November 8, 1962, in Berrien Center Michigan.
Sandra was the sixth child born to this union. She was fondly called “Liz” and in her later years was affectionately known as “Sunshine”.
Sandra graduated from Benton Harbor High School June 1981 and also attended Lake Michigan College. She was employed by the Tri-County Head start as a Teacher’s Assistant and worked in Home Healthcare for a number of years.
In 1979 she met the love of her life, Calvin White and was united in holy matrimony on December 25, 1982, and remained married for 42 years. To this union two children were born.
Sandra accepted Christ as her personal savior and began working for the Lord untiringly. She also served as the Elect Lady of the New Morning Star COGIC until her departure from this earth with the assurance of 2nd Corinthians 5:1 “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”
Sandra will always be remembered by her family and friends as a kind, generous, and happy natured person. She loved to travel with her ‘Family’ and was known as one of the greatest cooks in the family.
Sandra leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband and best friend of 42 years, Calvin White; Sandra was a tower of strength and love and will forever be cherished in the memories of her two sons; Calvin (Pennie) White,Jr. of Berrien Springs, Michigan and Demetrius White of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Five grandchildren Calvin Lequan White, Cinovah White, Da’naysia White, Dy’nasti White, and Calisa White. One brother, Gregory Johnson of Benton Harbor, Michigan. One sister Latriece Roseburgh of Benton Harbor, Michigan.
She will also be remembered by one aunt, Annie Lenzy, two uncles, Ernest Rimpson, Julius Oats, brothers' in-law, sisters' in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and a special friend Ruth Mayfield
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, James & Dorothy Roseburgh, four brothers, James Jr, Joe, Raymond, Ronald. one sister, Madella.
