Ruth N. (Walker) Smith

Ruth Novell Smith was born on March 29th, 1948, to the union of Joseph and Canvas Walker in Detroit MI.

She worked for the Ford plant until she relocated to Benton Harbor MI, she attended Lake Michigan College where she received an associate degree in secretarial science and a bachelor's degree in pharmaceuticals. She moved to Chicago in 1992 to work for Aboitt Laboratory then she moved back to Benton Harbor in 1998 and worked for Atlantic Automotive where she retired after 15 years.

Ruth liked to play cards and shoot pool. She was on the Master Jays Bowling League for 20 years.

Ruth is survived by her only child Canvas Smith, (Issac Hadley) of Indianapolis IN one Sister Deborah (Johnie)Walker one Brother Steven (Cynthia)Walker 4 Grandchildren Day’shawn Smith, Sarah Atkins, Daquawn Evans, and Derrick Evans, 7 Great-Grands Zendaia Smith, Kaiden Walker, Kaisen Walker, Kane Evans, Kody Evans, Katari Smith
