On Friday morning May 7, 2020 at 7:45 am Sister Rosie Lee Moore pulled off mortal and put on immortality, making the transition to her heavenly home. Rosie died peacefully at Lakeland Spectrum Medical Center with her daughter Mia at her side following a lengthy illness.

The mortal life of Sister Rosie Lee Moore was born into time on August 3, 1945 in Tupelo, Mississippi. To the late lria and Wallace Turner, Rosie was preceded in death by a daughter Kimmy L, Moore (Nash) and a son Dwayne A Moore her father Wallace Turner mother Iria Turner, Six Sister Ida Rivera, Roxanne Turner. Dorothy McGinnis, Patsy Brooks, Benoria Seuell, Reggie Turner Three brothers, Wallace Jr Turner Elmer Turner and Jerry Turner.

Rosie was baptized in Jesus’ name at an early age and received the gift of the Holy Spirit under the leadership of the late Reverend Coleman Gray after God called Rev. Gray then Reverend John Price and now Reverend Donald Green Senior.

A devout saint ‘’ our moms and pops wife never complained. Although she was sick in her body when asked how she was doing, she always responds, ‘’ I’ m Blessed.” Her loving spirit, compassion, kindness, cheerfulness, faith, and joyfulness was an inspiration to all who knew her. One of her favorite scriptures were “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. “ Phillipians 4:13 and Romans 8:28

“And we know that all things work together for the good of them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.” At Saint Marks Missionary Baptist Church, Sister Moore was active in Sunday School and enjoyed singing in the choir until she got sick.

Rosie was united in holy matrimony to James Moore Jr on July 24, 1964 By Reverend Coleman Gray.

Rosie was a loyal and devoted employee of Shoreham Terrace Nursing Home. Where she served as a union steward until her health failed and forced her to retirement. Rosie was also a great cook. She made the best caramel cake.

A devoted wife, a loving mother, cherished sister, a beautiful grandmother, caring aunt, and loyal friend.

Rosie will be sadly missed by her husband James Moore Jr. Two sons James Junior II and (Yvonne) Moore of Benton Harbor, Michigan Sirlen A. Moore of Kalamazoo Michigan, One daughter Mia Moore Of Benton Harbor Michigan and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousin, saints and Friends.

“As Sarah was to Abraham, “Rosie was to James.”  As Esther was to Mordecai, she was to her brothers and sisters. As Mary was to her son Jesus. “Rosie was to her children; Forever loved and alive in the memory of those touched by her love.

In life we have pleasures with our loved ones, we have sorrows and joys. But thank Good for the memories that death cannot destroy.
