Rommie was born on May 10, 1963, in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Rommie Allen Sr, and Mary L. Smith. He was a 1981 graduate of Benton Harbor High School and received his diploma after graduating, he worked as a laborer. Rommie had a passion as an artist and liked to draw.
Rommie was known for having a beaming smile with a heart of gold, he loved to eat, sing, bop, watching movies, and being a sharp dresser. He was a member of a popular dance group known as the Electros. He will be remembered for his great love of family and friends.
He leaves behind fond memories in the hearts of his father Rommie (Debra) Allen Sr, stepfather Eddie Smith Jr; eight children, Thaddeaus Bradley, Gary Williams, Tanisha Allen, Romya Allen-Zellars, Rommie Allen III, Diamond Allen, Ryan Allen, Dariana Neltner; ten grandchildren; 4 brothers Roger (El) Allen of Detroit, Michigan, Darion (Marie) Allen of Melrose Park Illinois, Damon (Mila) Pitts of Hawaii, and Darrell (Mickey) Smith of Memphis, Tennessee; Michigan; three sisters Lisa (Joseph) Hunter of Stevensville, Michigan, Linda Allen- Bey of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Kimberly Pitts of Joliet Illinois; four special extended family of Rommie’s Charles Davis of Jackson, Michigan Angie Brimite of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Ricky Davis of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Betty Joe Carter of Benton Harbor, Michigan; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Rommie was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. Smith, his son Jamar Lee Allen, his grandparents Frank (Voilet) Allen Sr, Mary Smith.
