Robert Benjamin Wilder “Tac,” was born September 5th, 1937, to the union of Willie and Beatrice Wilder of Eudora, Arkansas. Robert moved to Benton Harbor at an early age.
Robert was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School class of 1955. There, he met and married his high school sweetheart, Igene Wilder, they had 5 children. Robert was one of the first black males to sell insurance in the state of Michigan. Robert also worked for LECO Corp and was an entrepreneur of several local businesses. Robert accepted Christ at an early age and spent many years attending the Church of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ under the leadership of Rev. Bennet, later joined Community C.O.G.I. C. Robert was a member and lead singer of The Benton Harbor All Star and The Sensational Six Quartet group. Robert was known for his deep baritone voice, and loved singing.

Wilder of Benton Harbor, MI; Elizabeth Hill of Detroit, MI, Unita Wilder and Emma Payne (Rickey), Johnnie (Latosha) Hill of Benton Harbor, MI, Trinette Wilder of Algonquin, IL, Micheal and Sharonda Daye, godson Rocky Willis, Detroit Mi. And a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Robert was proceeded in death by his late wife Igene Wilder, his parents, late wife Sherron Wilder, 3 sons: Eugene Wilder, Robert Hill, and Jimmie Hill, 2 daughters: Bernadette Wilder and Adenia Eddie, 2 sisters: Dolly Ophelia “Dolly” Gilmore and Ora Lee Campbell and 1 brother: Willie Wilder.
