Robert Benjamin Hill of Benton Harbor, passed away Wednesday April 3, 2025, at Corwell Health, St. Joseph, MI.
Robert, affectionately called “Wak or Waki G” by his family and friends was born on April 1, 1977, in Benton Harbor, MI, born to Robert Wilder Sr., and Mable Hill.
Robert enjoyed spending time with family and encouraging them to do well. Robert loved listening to his gospel songs “I am Just A Nobody, Trying to Tell Everybody About Somebody, that can Change Anybody” and “Still Here” by the Williams Brothers, playing spades, domino, while listening to the Blues.
Robert accepted Christ at an early age and attended Greater Harvest Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Richardson. Robert later joined Martin Temple C.O.G.I.C, under the leadership of Pastor Martin.
Robert stepped from morality into immortality. He’s now resting peacefully with his mother, big brothers, sisters, grandbaby, maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles.
He leaves to cherish his fiancé Curwanda Dortch, children: Kajuanna, Khalil, Myesha, Marquan, Marquay Hill. Siblings: Emma (Rickey) Payne, Johnnie (LaTosha) Hill, Elizabeth Hill, Marcus, Robert A, Unita, Trinette WIlder, Michael, Sherronda Daye.
