Reshonda Linet Edison-Crayton, age 56, of Benton Harbor, MI fought a good fight while never complaining until the good Lord called her home on February 4, 2025. Born June 3rd,1968, in Benton Harbor, MI. Reshonda is the daughter of Gladys Young and Charles Harris.
Reshonda attended grade school at Sterne Brunson, in middle school attended Fair Plain Middle School, later graduated from Benton Harbor High School Class of ’87. While in high school, she was a member of the varsity cheerleading team.
Reshonda loved to work and always held a job. She was employed by Big Lots, Ponderosa, Katars Food Market, Harbor Shores Hotel, and Special-Lite. Reshonda loved to gather with family and friends. She was well known within the community for her hard work and her kind soul.
Reshonda leaves to cherish her memories, her father, Charles Harris of St. Joseph, MI; four sisters, Melinda Young of Benton Harbor, MI, Dana Flagle of Custer, SD, Lynette Harris of Memphis, TN, Theresa Dudley of Grand Rapids, MI; three brothers, Terrence (Theresa) Edison of Benton Harbor, MI, Shannon Harris of Raleigh, NC, and Laron Harris of St. Joseph, MI; three aunts: Louise Edison of Grand Rapids, MI, Arlene Edison of Columbus, OH, Debra (David) Watson of Benton Harbor, MI, her uncle: Willie Edison of Grand Rapids, MI; five nieces, Olivia Askew of St. Louis, MO, Britney Davis of Florida, Ja’Nae Payne of Muskegon, MI, Essie Adams of Benton Harbor, MI, and Tashion (Tim) Davis of Benton Harbor, MI; three nephews: Orlando Johnson of South Bend, IN, Terrence Edison Jr of Watervliet, MI, James Edison of Benton Harbor, MI; Long time companion, Willie Crayton of Benton Harbor, MI; four special friends, Kimberly Fultz, LaTanya Johnson, Charlie Ross, Lee Gordon all of Benton Harbor, MI; a special fury friend, Sheba; special host of friends at Special-Lite, Inc of Benton Harbor, MI and a host of cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
Reshonda is preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Young and stepfather, Ulyesses Young Jr.; her aunts, Betty Wallace and Ruby Jones; step-uncle, Edward Young; her grandparents, Ethel Mae Young-Ribera, Willie Clifton and Mabelene Edison; her great-grandparents, Etta and Albert Dukes; her cousin, Jurlene Edison, and her stepmother, Lucille Harris.
