Regina M. Kirby

Regina Michelle Kirby, 56, of Benton Harbor, MI departed this life on Monday, September 1, 2025.

Regina was born on October 10, 1968, to the union of Steve and Georgia Kirby. She was a 1986 graduate of Benton Harbor High School where she excelled as a Madrigal.

Regina will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her kind heart and her love of singing and cooking (infamous for a good pot of greens and spaghetti soup). She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and baby sister of 14 siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Antaeryya Lockhart, Antoniqua (Shondale) Gray and Dehja Hall; two adopted children Erik (Keoma) Kirby and Martica Kirby who she raised after her sister’s passing; Grandchildren Ava Fowler, Anica Fowler, Peyton Orr, Tyler Orr, Gabriel Orr, Wynter Donald-Parks, Jaida Kirby, Cornelious Barney II, Camden Barney, Camryn Barney, all of Benton Harbor, MI; Brothers Calvin Williams of Poplar Bluff, MO, Lawrence Bell, Samuel Williams, Michael Kirby; Sisters Ruthie (Mark) McClinton, Margaret Cross, Diane (Jeffrey) Clark, Vera Davis and a special niece whom she affectionately called Big Baby, Latasha (Carnell) Dennis, all of Benton Harbor, MI.

She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents Steve Kirby and Georgia Kirby, brothers James Baker and Larry Baker and sister Mary Linda Kirby.

Although no longer with us physically, her spirit will always remain. Our “Gina Girl” will truly be missed.
