Rachel Lee Anderson was born on January 30, 1941, in Batesville, MS to the union of the late Levi and Maggie Hankins.
Rachel confessed in Christ under the leadership of Rev. C.M. Cox at Second Conard Cord Missionary Baptist Church and later moved to Benton Harbor, MI. Upon her arrival Rachel joined Israelite Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. John McAfee. Then later untied in fellowship with Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Walter Brown. Rachel proudly served on the Usher Board. She did not mind helping with prayer and devotional services.
Rachel Lee Anderson leaves to cherish her loving memory, siblings two brothers James (Vivian) Hankins of Modesta, CA. and Roger Hankins of Batesville, MS; two sisters Bertha Osby of Eau Claire, MI., and Lacey Deloney of Benton Harbor, MI and a host of niece, nephews, friends and cousins.
Rachel was preceded in death by husband Clarence Anderson, mother and father Levi and Maggie Hankins, one sister Maggie Pearl-McAfee, and one brother Ben Bailey Butler.
