Penny A. Finley

Penny Ann Finley, was born September 15, 1962, in Benton Harbor, MI to Beverly Finley Clark. She transitioned on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at her home in Grand Rapids, MI.

Penny attended Benton Harbor Area Schools and graduated with the Class of 1982.

Penny worked at various jobs, but her favorite was working in the Cafe at Family Fare. This gave her the opportunity to meet new people and try new recipes. Penny loved cooking, playing cards and talking trash. She had a great sense of humor and was a self proclaimed comedian. Her favorite pastime was “Rocking” on the couch while watching Soap Operas.

Penny leaves to cherish her siblings: Donald (Stephanie) Clark, Dana Clark, Norma Clark, Tyrone Robinson Sr. and Kevin Moore all of Benton Harbor; and Danny Clark of Battle Creek, MI.

Special Friend Andrew Kennibrew. God Children: Sharkeeya Crawford and Zechariah Crawford of Grand Rapids.

Penny didn’t have any biological children, but was a present and active aunt. Penny helped cultivate a lasting bond with her nieces and nephews that will never be forgotten.  She leaves great memories in the hearts of her nieces and nephews: Tyshaun Robinson “Favorite Nephew”, Anna Clark, Deshauna Clark, Deshaun Clark, Antoinette Johnson, Angel (Sylvester) Crayton, Joseph Clark, Sparkle Robinson,  Tyree Robinson, Tyrone Robinson Jr, Tamara (Leon) Lloyd, Dana Clark, Danielle Clark, Kiara Hooks, Ayisha Finley, Nina Finley, Cubie Finley, Latasha Finley, Fallon Guess, Deshauna Clark, Deshaun Clark, Jezreel Mosby, Jaleel Moore.  Special Family: Sheryl Finley, Scooter (Doris) Finley, Lenny Guess, Charles (Denise) Clark, Lori Davis, Maria Clark, Annette Willis, Darrell Willis. Her Friends: April Wilburn, Schnetta Robinson, Beth Ann Robinson, Rhonda Clark and Neighbor Ray Liptrot.  

Penny was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Finley-Clark, Godmother, Virginia Beaty, Brother Gregory Clark,  Aunts, Bonita and Doris Finley; (5) Uncles, Donald “Cubie” Finley, Joseph Finley Jr., Giles Robinson, William Robinson and Vincent Robinson, niece Ashley Clark and cousin Norman Guess.
