Michael Camillus Rodgers, 69, of Kalamazoo, MI (formerly of Berrien Center, MI) passed away at the Rose Arbor Hospice Care on Sunday, July 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born on December 25, 1953, to Halford and Armentha (Bell) Rodgers in Berrien Center, Michigan. After graduating from Berrien Springs High School, Michael enlisted into the United States Army and served his country.
He is preceded in death by his father, Halford Harry Rodgers, and mother, Armentha Zodia Rodgers; siblings, Marisola Rodgers, Thurman Rodgers, Glenda Burton, Janet Rodgers; and brother-cousin, George Thomas.
With deepest admiration and love, Michael left to cherish his two sons, Christopher Rodgers (Tonya) of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Mario Rodgers of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Christopher Michael Rodgers Jr., Chayla Rodgers, Taliyah Rodgers, Jadyn Rodgers, Madison Rodgers, King Mario Rodgers, and Marlee Rodgers. Michael is also survived by siblings, Elois Renner-Lewis (Michael) of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Barbara Rodgers-McGee of Akron, Ohio; sister-cousin, Marilyn (Frank) Rhodes of Racine, Wisconsin; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Michael was a loving and caring father, brother, and uncle. His free-spirited and humorous attitude towards life will be deeply missed and never forgotten. The Rodgers family ask for your prayers and appreciate your calls.
