Melissa A. Poole

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved Melissa Ann Poole, who departed this life on May 10, 2026, at the age of 54.

Melissa was born January 26, 1972, she was more than a mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her presence could light up any room, and her laughter was something that those who knew her will never forget. She lived life with a free spirit. Whether she was dancing to her favorite song, singing along to the music she loved, or traveling to new places, Melissa embraced life with joy and enthusiasm.

She loved deeply, cared endlessly, and always made sure those around her knew they were loved. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love created countless memories that her family and friends will cherish forever.

Melissa was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved grandmother Shirley Brand her mother Rose Mary Poole Her father Johnny Hubbard her sisters, Teonnie Poole, Joyce Poole her brother Rodney Poole and her precious daughter, Latasha Washington . She also leaves behind her loving children, Kaliphe Poole, Bianca Poole, and Jimmy Washington. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Amor Long, Khiylin Vaughn , Kamri Poole, Jeremiah Bridgeman Johntavius Bridgeman , John Bridgeman Jr, Zyanna Bridgeman , Dallesha Poole , Willie Caldwell, Damond Caldwell, De’Antwan Caldwell & Keshawn Washington , who brought immense joy to her life. Melissa is also survived by her loving sister, Shamika Mason ,Taquanta Scates , Latesia Scates ; her brothers, Zachary Poole, Travis Poole, Charles Poole and Tylon Atkins; and a host of nieces and nephews , She also leaves behind many other relatives, friends, and loved ones . Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we are grateful for the time we shared with her. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.To know Melissa was to love her. Her smile could brighten the darkest day, her words could bring comfort when it was needed most, and her love was a gift that will remain with us forever.

As we say goodbye, we hold tightly to the memories, laughter, and love she gave so freely. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will continue to guide us, and her love will remain in our hearts forever.
