Mary Willie (Johnson) Wade

Mary W. Wade, 84 of Benton Harbor, MI pulled off mortal and put on immortality, in her favorite chair in her earthly home, she made the transition to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 24, 2021. 

Mary was born May 17, 1937, in Greensburg, Kentucky to the union of the late Vivian and Mary Magalene Johnson.  On June 4, 2014, Mary united in marriage to the love of her life, Vernon Wade.  Mary was a devoted member of New Paradise Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Willard McAfee and faithfully served under the pastoral guidance of Pastor Willie T. Burton. 

Precious memories of Mary’s life will forever live in the heart of her husband, Vernon Wade; children, six children, Priscilla Ann Lloyd, Dale (Helen) Lloyd, Reginal Lloyd, Gary Lloyd, Vanessa Lloyd, and Valarie (Jose) Bermudez; twenty grandchildren; fifty plus great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert, and Ronnie Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Lee Dale Lloyd, her son Leon Lloyd Sr; two sisters, Annie Mae Hall and Rozella Bell; and one brother, Floyd Johnson.
