Martin Quintanilla

Martin Quintanilla-Gutierrez, 56, was born on July 29, 1969, in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and passed away on June 3, 2026. Martin lived life with a strong spirit, a generous heart, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the toughest days.

Martin was a craftsman by trade, spending his final career years in woodworking, where his hands created lasting pieces and reflected his dedication, patience, and skill. He was the kind of man who appreciated simple pleasures—an early morning fishing trip, a day spent hunting, cheering on his favorite sports teams, or gathering around a grill surrounded by family and friends.

Anyone who knew Martin knew he had a personality that was impossible to forget. He was kind and courteous, always willing to help someone in need, but he also had a sarcastic wit that kept everyone laughing. He was stubborn in the way only the people we love most can be, adventurous enough to try something new, and never afraid to speak his mind.

One of the many memories his loved ones will forever cherish is the tradition of going to Whispering Pines to pick out the family Christmas tree. Those moments of walking through the rows of trees, joking around, and spending time together represent the joy Martin brought into everyday life.

Martin is preceded in death by his beloved siblings, Noe, Anselmo, Luciano, and Jose. He leaves behind his son, Jacob Quintanilla, and his daughters, Kristine Griffith, Michelle Mercado, and Selena Quintanilla. He also leaves behind his loving siblings, Isaac, Eliseo, Margarito, Rebecca, Juana, and Petra, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will continue to share his stories, his jokes, and perhaps even his stubbornness for generations to come.

Though Martin's time with us was far too short, the memories he created will continue to live on—in every fishing story told, every backyard cookout shared, every sports game watched a little too passionately, and every Christmas tree chosen with love.

Martin may be gone from our sight, but his humor, love, and unforgettable spirit will remain with us always.
