Mable (Brewer) Remely

Mable Brewer Remely, 95, of Benton Harbor transitioned from this life Sunday, March 30, 2025.  Services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Union Memorial AME Church, 911 S. Crystal Avenue, Benton Harbor, Michigan.  Visitation at 11:00 a.m. and service at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta Michigan. 

Mable Remely entered into this life on February 7, 1930, to the late Arguster and Omelia Brewer in Scotts Arkansas.  In 1955, Mable moved with her family to Benton Harbor, Michigan where she was employed with Benton Harbor Area Schools for several years, and 23 years with Region IV Area Agency on Aging, St. Joseph, Michigan. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, four children: Martha Nash, Stephen (Rosemary) Ready-Brewer, Denise (John) Valentine, and Albert Remely; six grandchildren: Catricia (Patrick) Boyland, Charmaine (Johnnie) Jones, Sharonda Nash, Terris Morgan, Telisha (James) Sullivan, and Talaniece Brewer; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren, two sisters:  Leola Hood and Arguster Blanks; two god daughters: Teresa Burton and Reshella Allen (Kenny) Hawkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferda “Fred” Remely.
