Lula Mae Favorite

Lula Mae Favorite transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Lula was born May 13, 1960, to Gloria Favorite-Davis in White Castle, Louisiana.  

Lula was an encouraging, supportive, and loving mother to her two daughters, Latrice and Lakisha. She cherished their close-knit relationship and was especially proud of their accomplishments as she single-handedly put both daughters through college. The love Lula and her girls share is priceless and unbreakable. God has Lula in his presence, but she lives on in the hearts of her daughters. Lula was also a loving, kind, strong, God-fearing, and brave sister, auntie, and friend. Her smile, laugh, and sweet demeanor will be forever missed by her family and friends.

Lula will forever be remembered in the hearts of her two daughters: Latrice Favorite and Lakisha Favorite. Three sisters: Ruby Davis, Denise Taylor, and Wanda Favorite. Three brothers: Paul Davis, Dennis Davis, and Alvin Favorite. Nephews: Ronald Davis, Paul Davis Jr. Tamarcko Wilson, Travis Favorite, Cohen Davis Jr., Jonathon Favorite, Deshawn Brister, and De’shawn Lloyd. Nieces: Yolanda Taylor, Sharika Davis, Carla Favorite, TeQulia Favorite, Ashley Hubbard, Eliska Brooks, Charlita Davis, Antionette Williams, and Dae’ja Lloyd. Stepsister: Veronica Smith. Best Friend: Julia Turner. Also, a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and friends.

In heaven, Lula is reunited with her mother: Gloria Favorite-Davis. Grandparents: Lula Mae Favorite (her namesake) and Henry Favorite. Brother: Cohen Davis. Sister: JoAnn Favorite. Uncle: Henry Favorite Jr. Stepfather: Dolton Smith.
