Linda D. Cook-Pitre, 70 of Benton Harbor departed this life April 24, 2024, in St Joseph.
Linda, was born on June 24, 1953, to the union of Willie “Dollar Bill” Murphy and Katie Ray Cook in Greenville, AL. She received Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, AL.
Linda, loved to talk mess while playing Tunk and listening to her some down-home blues with her family & friends. She had a heart that was genuine. If you needed a babysitter, you knew you could always count on Linda. She kept nieces and nephews, great nieces, and nephews and any of the friends of the family that needed a babysitter.
Linda is survived by husband Charles Pitre, along with her sister Alice (Reginald)Cook and one brother Robert Jones, her special daughter Tiffany Cook and her niece and nephews that were just like her very own children.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Willie “Dollar Bill” Murphy and Katie Ray Cook, (3)sisters: Helen Larry, Sadie Crenshaw, Mattie “Pearl” Owens and (3) brothers: Willie “Van” Cook, Charles Cook, Arthur Lee Cook and nephew Corey “Lavelle” Cook.
