Linda Gail Johnson Braziel was born February 1, 1954, to Joseph and Ethel Johnson in Independence, Louisiana. They both preceded her in death. She departed this life after an extended illness on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital.
Linda confessed her hope in Christ and was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Howard Bolden, St. James AME Church, Hammond, Louisiana. She received her education in Tangipahoa Parish Schools, Hammond, Louisiana.
Linda loved watching television, listening to music and was a huge admirer of Micheal Jackson. She had a very outgoing personality, and her family will miss her smile and generosity.
Linda leaves to cherish her memories, sons; Eric Johnson, Detroit, Michigan and Alfred Braziel, Bridgeman, Michigan, Daughters; Daretha Braziel and Lisa Braziel, both of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Rachel Green, Indianapolis, Indiana. Sisters, Gladys Bridgewater and Margaurite Johnson, Hammond Louisiana and Diana Davis, Benton Harbor, Michigan, 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father; five brothers, Joe Johnson, Jessie Johnson, Charles Fefe, Willie Williams and Columbia Johnson and sister Patricia Johnson Lendo.
