Laverro Wiliams Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, child, and sibling Laverro L. Williams at the age of 70.  Laverro passed away in the early hours of February 14, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.

Born to the late DL Williams and Willa Mae Williams, Laverro spent his entire life in his beloved Benton Harbor. During his youth and teen years, he played little League and Babe Ruth baseball.  As an adult Laverro enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Those who knew him knew his love of barbecuing which he did all four seasons.

He is survived by his wife, friend, lover, companion, and caregiver of over 50 plus years, Deborah Ray Williams; His mother Willia Mae Williams of Benton Harbor, MI; Two sons, Bradley (Melinda) Sanders of Kalamazoo, MI; and Laverro Ray, of Indianapolis, IN; Two Brothers, Eric Williams of Troy, MI, and Jechonias Williams of Los Angelos, CA ; Two Sisters, Rhonda (Tommy) Williams of Benton Harbor, MI and Sora Patterson of Mansfield, TX.; Two Brother in Laws, Andrew (Caroline) Ray of Fort Wayne, IN, and Fred (Linda) Glespie of Benton Harbor, MI; One Sister in Law, Dorothy (Tim) Shorter of Elkhart, IN.

He was preceded in death by his Father, D.L. Williams, Sister, Cecelia Ann Williams, and Brother-in-Law, Lindsey Ray.

His memory lives with his 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
