Lathiree Lewis

Lathiree Lewis traded mortality for immortality on November 11, 2019 at Spectrum health Lakeland, St. Joseph.

Lathiree was born February 7, 1945 to the late R. Ree and Della Woods in Batesville, MS. She latter relocated with her children to Benton harbor in 1973. Lathiree relocated to Saginaw, MI in 1994 where she continued her employment with McDonalds restaurant. She untied with Fellowship Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Mouche and faithfully traveled with the ministry outreach until her health began to fail. Due to her health failing she moved back to Benton Harbor.

Lathiree had a genuine love for people with a special fondness for her children and grandchildren. Her favorite past time was cooking, (she could make a mean banana pudding form scratch), playing spades, sitting on the river and going out to eat. Lathiree enjoyed the music of Kirk Franklin, her favorite song was Stomp and anything by the great Rev. Rance Allen. While we understand that death is a part of life, it cannot destroy the fond memories we shared with out loved one.

Lathiree will continually be loved and remembered in the hearts of those she left behind; siblings, James Pollard Jr. and Edna Pollard of Detroit; children, Bertha Larmore, Kalamazoo, James Howard, Erie, PA, Bertha (LeAndre) Archibald and Ernestine Lewis, Benton Harbor, Arneise Lewis, Grand Rapids and Denise Lewis, South Bend, IN; special niece, Bertha Edgar; special cousins, Earlene Wiley and Addie Coleman; 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Lathiree was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, James Pollard; sister, Ida B. Hill; brother, McKinley Woods; grandchildren, Robert Howard, Douglas Lewis and Willie Lewis.
