Larry L Earven

Larry Leroy Earven 75, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, born on November 20th, 1950, to the union of Leroy and Ruby Mae (Smith) Earven.

Larry was the only child of Reverend Leroy and Mother Ruby Mae Earven. Larry was raised by deeply spiritual and loving parents who placed a strong emphasis on education and faith. Larry began his education in the Benton Harbor Public School System, where he demonstrated a gift for playing the piano and a deep love for music. After graduating from Benton Harbor High School, Larry continued his studies at Lansing Community College and later attended Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan where he was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 

Larry was employed by the Board of Water & Light in Lansing, Michigan and later returned to Benton Harbor to be closer to and care for his parents. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Reverend Leroy and Mother Ruby Mae (Smith) Earven, his grandparents, Reuban and Idelle Smith. 

He leaves to cherish his loving daughter, Miesha Dorsey; his son-law, Nathaniel Dorsey lll; his bonus son, Jerold Coakley; his best friend, Harold Bulger; and a host of other relatives and loved ones. 

Cremation has taken place, and arrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
