Lashurn Wyatt Hills, born on May 16, 1974, was called home on April 24, 2025, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, at the age of 50.
Lashurn was a devoted son, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and joy to all who knew him. He was the proud father of seven children: Darius Bledsoe, Nathan Daily, Nicholas Daily, Antonio Lear, Alexis Hills, Angel Lear, and Wyatt Bailey. He was also blessed with nine beloved grandchildren: Margarethe Daily, Temperance Daily, Charlotte Daily, Desmond Daily, Darcus Jr. Bledsoe, Kiyah Bledsoe, Eleazar Lear, Antonio Lear Jr., and Valentin Lear. He also cherished his siblings; Joyce Rheams, Shadonna Napier, Wiley Hutchinson, and Calvin Hutchinson.
He is survived by her loving mother, Joyce Marie Hutchinson. Lashurn was preceded in death by his father; Wiley Rheams Sr., brother; Joshua Lester Rheams, and nephews; Joshua Hutchinson and Corey Napier Jr.
Lashurn found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved to travel, spend quality time with his family, and filling every room with laughter. His warm smile and easygoing spirit made everyone feel at home. Lashurn never met a stranger and he would help his family as much as he could. Among his many talents, Lashurn was known for making the best pecan candy from scratch—an unforgettable treat that he shared with his family.

Lashurn’s life was a testament to the power of love and family. Lashurn’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, joy, and family will never be forgotten.
