Knowledge Nathaniel Hoard
Knowledge Nathaniel Hoard, affectionately known as “Daddy”, passed away on April 28, 2024, in St. Joseph, Michigan, at the age of 12 years old. Born on October 1, 2011, in St. Joseph Michigan, he was the cherished son of Helen Jones and Nathaniel Hoard and the loving grandson of Ruth Jones.
Knowledge was a 7th grader at Fair Plain Middle School. At school, he enjoyed laughing and joking with his best friend Jermaine. His curiosity in the classroom made him eager to learn new skills, especially in his karate and gym classes. He was known for his gentle heart, kind spirit, and infectious smile that would light up any room.
Knowledge showed a deep love for God and video games from a young age. His favorite scripture passage was Psalms 23, and his favorite video game was Fortnite. Knowledge was a true “Foodie”, and enjoyed his Friday dinner dates with his mother and grandmother, dining on his favorite foods: fried chicken, fried pork chops, pizza, and mexican street corn. He also enjoyed spending time with his nephew and niece Kaiden and Royaltee, whom he affectionately called his uncle babies.
Knowledge’s life was a vibrant tapestry of love, kindness, and youthful enthusiasm. As passionately stated by his mother “To know Knowledge was to love him”. Knowledge left a lasting impact and touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be remembered for his legacy of kindness, laughter, and love for life which will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Knowledge leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents Helen Jones and Nathaniel Hoard, grandmother Ruth Jones, great grandmother Helen Hill, siblings; Alize Taylor, Dana Clark Jr., and Star Hoard; niece and nephew (uncle babies); Kaiden Clark and Royaltee Walton; uncles and aunts: Pastor Shamontay (Dr. Michella) Jones, Demaccio Carter Sr., Shawanda (Lashanda) Jones, Alice (David) Smith, and Rickie (Latasha) Smith. He will also be remembered by a host of grand aunts, grand uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, paternal grandparents, and aunt Nicole Thomas.
