Kirby Arthur Phillips Jr., 29, of Grayslake, IL went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2025. Kirby was born on January 23, 1996, to Carolyn Phillips and Pastor Kirby A. Phillips Sr. of Benton Harbor. Kirby was a member of Unity Bible Baptist Church and received the Lord as his Savior at an early age.
Kirby graduated from Lakeshore High School in 2014 and in December of 2024 he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He majored in Communications with a concentration in Business.
Driven by a strong work-ethic, Kirby began his working life in high school. He eventually went on to build a career at Amazon.com, Inc., where he was valued.
Kirby’s favorite holiday was Thanksgiving and he loved spending time with his family.
Kirby is survived by his parents Carolyn and Kirby Phillips Sr. of Benton Harbor, his sister Kandyce (Lukas) Baker of Traverse City and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
