Kimberly Lynette Thompson, 44, departed January 5, 2025, at her Dallas Texas home. She was born to the union of Shirley and James Thompson Sr.
She received her early education at Gifted and Talented Academy and McCord Renaissance. In 1998, Kim graduated top of her class earning her diploma at Benton Harbor High School.
As a child Kim really enjoyed singing so much, she joined her junior high school choir. Her favorite group she enjoyed listening to was New Edition becoming a die-hard fan. During her down time, she enjoyed cuddling in bed with her snacks and always kept a bottle of lotion by her side.
She had a heart of gold and always tried to be a peacemaker. Kim had a passion for life and was a strong-minded woman.
She began her employment with Jameson Gallery where soon after she began her career as Deputy City Clerk of Benton Harbor, Michigan in 2004. She was very passionate about her job as well as the city.
She went on to further her education at Lake Michigan College earning an associate degree in Criminal Justice in 2020. Then in 2022 she earned her bachelor’s degree at Ferris State University.
October 2021 Kim retired from her position as the Benton Harbor City Clerk, and relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she became the Deputy Secretary of Colony, Texas.
Kim will forever be known for her pretty smile showing her cute little gap and her amazing personality. The love and support she poured unto others was beyond measure. Although she was a very private person, she would always show her love for others aloud.
She was fierce, fashionable, smart, beautiful, free spirit, loving, fun but let's not forget nosey. She loved and looked forward to spending time with family the most.
