Kenneth Strauss Obituary

Kenneth James Strauss (Ken) passed away at 58 years old of stage 4 lung cancer at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

Ken was born on July 20, 1962, in Benton Harbor, Mi to Andrew and Cordelia Strauss. Ken grew up in St.Joe/Benton Harbor with siblings Andrea (Sissy) Strauss and Andrew (Buddy) Strauss Jr, along with longtime friend David (Bear) Brink. Ken worked at several factories with the last one being Empire Molded Plastics Inc. in which he took leave from due to cancer.

In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his significant other, children, grandchildren, along with working on cars, fishing, hunting, and spending time at U.S. 131 Motor Sports.

Ken was survived but his significant other Tamara (Tammy) Strauss (Benton Harbor), children Christine (Avontae) Penn (Benton Harbor), Kendra Infante (Hartford), Jamie (Whitney) Strauss (Benton Harbor). Grandchildren Justin/Lily Sicurello, Khloe Grandberry, Bella Brooks, Mylee/Ben/William Infante, Michelle Meyer, Michael Lester, sister Andrea Strauss, special friends David Brink, Brad Lopez, and pets Floofy and A.D.

Ken was pre-deceased by both parents Andrew and Cordelia and brother Buddy.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr.Kozuh and Karen at Lakeland Cancer Center. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Caring circle team Ann Empson and Samantha Schultz. Ken and the family were very blessed to have such a loving and caring team to be by our side through this difficult time. Ken was an amazing husband/significant other, father, grandfather, and friend. He was loved dearly and missed very much.
