Kenneth Lee Smith

On April 11, 2025, Kenneth Lee Smith, 63, of South Bend, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on August 8, 1961, to the late Harry Smith and Arietha Smith, who relocated to Benton Harbor, MI. Where he met Lisa Smith and married, and to that union they had 4 children, Chanta(Osha), Kenneth(Shawntel), Demetrious(Jacquise), and Latasha(Bruce), all of South Bend, IN.

He was known for being a loving and caring family man, he loved his family, going to church, music, and taking pictures. Kenny worked on cars for many years.

Kenneth’s legacy will live on through his family and the memories he created. Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory, his children, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Rosie Price and Phyllis Alexander both of Benton Harbor, MI, Brother Michael Smith of Benton Harbor, MI, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Deneka Johnson, grandson Kenneth III, brothers Roosevelt, Phillip, and Tex,   and a sister Clara.
