Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend John T. Jenkins, 62, of Benton Harbor, MI, transitioned to the upper level in Heaven on December 4, 2022, in Benton Harbor, MI.
John was born on February 24, 1960, in Benton Harbor, MI to the late ST and Faye Otra Jenkins. John was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School Class of 1978. John was a lifelong resident of Benton Harbor. John worked several jobs in the Benton Harbor area, including The Orchards Mall and Robbins Brothers Funeral Home.
John enjoyed social gatherings with his family and friends. John was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, where he loved singing in the choir under the leadership of the late Rev. Emery M. Varrie I. In memory of him, his name was R.V. His hobbies were fishing, listening to music, and playing chess.
John leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Larry (Mel) Alexander, Johntae (Chugg) Alexander, and Deontae (Dee) Cole; one daughter, Tina Jenkins Cole; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Aaron Lobby, Sean Tisdal, and Darrius White; his Godbrother, Jeff Delaney; his friend, Stanley King and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, ST Jenkins, and Faye Otra (Green) Jenkins.
