Ms. Joann Pierce was born May 04 1957, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to the late Mr. Robert Pierce, Sr. and Mrs. Florence (Cooper) Pierce. She transitioned from this life on Saturday, January 20, 2024, peacefully at home.
Ms. Pierce was formerly employed as a janitorial technician at Boulevard’s in St. Joseph, MI; Angelo’s and as a Home Care Health Aide. She attended Benton Harbor High School and became friends with of her fellow students. She was a friendly person and enjoyed talking to everyone. She was affectionally known as “Big Joan..Stay Neat” because of her impeccable clothing style and fashionable looks!
Ms. Pierce leaves to cherish her precious memories three daughters: Shamettha Pierce, Chivanza Pierce and Willie Mae Jones, all of Benton Harbor; one son, Amos (Nitika) Pierce of Arizona; her long-time companion, James T. Mosley, Jr.; one brother, Robert Pierce, Jr.; two sisters, Lily (Willie) Ferguson and Betty Phillips both of Benton Harbor, MI; fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Florence Pierce, Sr.; two brothers, James Williams and Clinton Pierce; two sisters, Brenda Pierce and Donna Dancer.
We say “TILL WE MEET AGAIN” to our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, Aunt, cousin, and friend. We shall truly miss you…but we have deep rooted memories that we will always cherish and remember.
