On Friday, September 1st, 2023, our beloved brother, father, son, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend Jessie Sims transitioned peacefully to his home in heaven.
Today we come to celebrate the life of Jessie Sims who was a loving person who always had a smile on his face when you encountered him, Jessie was about family and loved his family.
Jessie Lee Sims was born on March 17, 1978, in Marianna Arkansas to his beloved Mother, the late Judy Ann Sims, and father the late Jessie Davis Sr. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Judy Ann Sims, Jessie Davis Sr., oldest brother Teutonian “Tony” Sims, sister Tiffany Faye “Pooh” Davis, Nephew Carl Coleman Jr., Niece Carleisha Coleman, Grandparents, Dorothy Newman and Robert Sims, Aunts Christine, Brenda, Velma, and Betty, Uncles, William, Ricky, and Willie, and Cousin Tamika Swanson.
At an early age, Jessie came to Benton Harbor Mi from Marianna Arkansas with his Mother Judy Sims, and siblings. Jessie attended Benton Harbor High School. Jessie has six children whom he loved dearly. Jessie was a hard worker and had been working since he was a teenager at Jerry Hunts selling and detailing cars. Jessie was dedicated to his work and eventually started up his own lawn care service called the Lawn Perfecter. To know Jessie was to love Jessie.
Jessie leaves loving and fond memories within the heart of his children, Jessie Sims III, of Nashville, Tennessee, Elijan London, of Kalamazoo, MI, Jaiden Sims, Trinity Sims, and Katelynn Sims, of Benton Harbor MI, Brother Carol (Qunanita) Coleman Sr., of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jessie Davis Jr, Martina Davis, Prisceila Davis, and Christy Davis all of Little Rock Arkansas, Special friend Cynitha Buckner, nieces, Carnesha, Kayasia, of Benton Harbor MI, Aunts, Dorothy, Gloria Steen, Earnstine, and Linda, of Benton Harbor MI, Glenda, Mammie, Verna, and Jacqulyn, of Detroit MI, Uncles, Benny, Terry, Cleo (Angela), and Jerry of Benton Harbor MI, James, Tommie, Robert of Detroit MI, and a host of cousin, nephews, and friends.
