On May 22, 2022, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend answered Heaven’s call. Jerry Tyson, 58, of Kalamazoo, Michigan. was born to the late Samuel Tyson and Dorothy (Toliver) Tyson on October 21, 1963.
As a child, he was raised in Covert, Michigan, and later graduated from Benton Harbor High School. Jerry was employed for a number of years as the Maintenance Man at Briarwood Apartments and at Benton Harbor Housing Commission. He was very creative and spent hours drawing and repairing any household appliance. His greatest joy was spent with his grandchildren teaching them how to fish, paint, draw, cut grass, and build cars. The apple of his eye was his loving and devoted wife of 37 years Eunice (Pullen) Tyson and the five children they were blessed to love.
Loving memories will always be in the hearts of his wife Eunice; Children: Laura (Alex) McCullar of Chicago, IL; Jerry (Erica…aka Tory)of Benton Harbor; Brittany (Sauve) Pullen of Kalamazoo; Jerry Jamare (Shay) of Kalamazoo; Three loving granddaughters: Mariah, Kalyse and Jeronna; Five handsome grandsons: Alexander, DeJerroyon, Suave, D’Jerashawn and Jayden; three beautiful sisters: Dorothy Razor of Benton Harbor, Linda (Steve) Harris, Benton Harbor, and Robin (Phil)Marion of Kalamazoo; one awesome brother: Samuel (Patricia) Tyson, Phoenix, AZ; A host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, sisters-in-law/brothers-in-law, Aunts, and Uncles.
Jerry was preceded in death by his oldest son: Jerry Alfonzo; his parents: Samuel and Dorothy Tyson; a sister, Bobbie Toliver; grandparents John and Willie Mae Toliver.
