Jerrion Phillips Obituary

A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalms 23:1-6

Jerrion Timyron Dontrell Phillips was born June 25, 2008, to Tiarra Phillips and Terry Parham in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  Jerrion was a student at Benton Harbor High School and had just started his freshman year for the fall 2023 semester. Jerrion favorite colors were grey and black, and he loved to coordinate outfits with his brother and cousins.  He enjoyed going out to eat with his grandma to spend quality time together.  One of his favorite pastimes was listening to music and having fun with his siblings and cousins.  He aspired to be a songwriter and rapper and had even recorded a song prior to his death.  He always talked about the kind of cars he would get when he got older.  He was a happy young man and was never without a smile. On September 23, Jerrion accepted his wings and is now taking his eternal rest.

Jerrion leaves to cherish his precious memory, his mother Tiarra Phillips, his father, Terry Parham, his stepfather, Kota Kimble, three siblings, Dajah, Antwan, and Diaijah all of Benton Harbor, MI., his aunts and uncles, Tammy Autrey (Tykeious) of Benton Harbor, MI., Timothy Phillips (Jacqueline) of Fort Wayne, IN., other aunts, Solona Bridgeman, Kymesha Kelly, Shay, and his great aunts, Linda Sue Jackson of Ft. Wayne, IN., and Shenita McFarland of Benton Harbor, MI., other uncles, Dada, Marcus and Alphonzo all of Benton Harbor, MI., his maternal grandparents, Elaine and Alfonzia Autrey, of Benton Harbor, MI., his paternal grandparents, Carlett McFarland and his great grandmother, Barbara Turner of Benton Harbor, MI., his adored niece, Skyla and a host of other cousins and friends.

Jerrion was preceded in death by his grandfather Jeffery Phillips, his uncle Jerry Dontrell Jackson, his great grandmother, Annie Mae Jackson, his great grandfather Johnny Jackson, Jr. and his great uncle, Charles Jackson.

Jerrion was a quiet soul, he kept to himself but was always available to assist and help whenever he was called on.  We will miss his contagious smile and giving heart.
