Jeanette (Love) Perkins

Our Beloved Mother Jeanette Perkins unexpectedly entered eternal rest on May, 23, 2026 at the age 67.

Jeanette was born on June 27, 1958 to the late Ernest Love and Ular Mae Long in Charleston Missouri and later re-located to Benton Harbor Michigan were she resided.

Jeanette loved to cook,dance and sing she found joy in being around her children and grandchildren. She will always be remembered as having that bowlegged walk that beautiful voice and that delicious soul food cooking.

Jeanette is survived by her better half whom she loved dearly Alfonso Ewing, her daughters Tosha Gullens of Clarksville, IN, Chiquita Love (Tiras) Smith of Murfreesboro Tn and (Twins) Edwonna Love and Edward Love both of South Bend In.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Ular Mae Long her Father Ernest Love, Son Jermaine Love Sr, Grand daughter Jermyia Love. Three Sisters Miller Johnson, Lorene Woodson, Vera Jones. Two Brothers Vernell Long, and Jerry Long.

She was the heart of Our family a loving mother, devoted grandmother, sister,aunt,cousin,and friend. Her Kindness, wisdom, fun spirit, and unconditional love will always be remembered.

She leaves behind 10 grandchildren twelve great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. One sister Rosie Long and one brother James Long both of Benton Harbor Mi.

While our hearts mourn her physical absence, we rejoice in the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the love she instilled in each of us.
