James Lee Williams 73 of Benton Harbor, departed this life on March 29, 2020, at Hallmark Living Nursing facility in Benton Harbor.

James Lee Williams was born June 19, 1946, in Lula Mississippi to the late Walter Sr. and Fannie Louise (Whitfield) Williams. James received his education in Dundee, Mississippi and he was baptized at a young age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dundee, Mississippi.

James moved to Benton Harbor, MI in 1967 and he worked various labor jobs. He worked at Goodyear Tire Company in Benton Harbor for many years. James used his mechanical skills to work on cars and trucks.

James to cherish his three daughters, Emma Wiggins (Jerry Hopkins) Memphis, Tennessee; Patrice (Darrell Harris) Benton Harbor, MI; Angela Collins, Benton Harbor MI; one son Eric (Teresa, Williams); Peoria IL; four brothers; Walter (June Michelle Williams) Benton Harbor MI; Joe Earl Williams of Tunica MS; Charles William; Ben Henry (Cassandra) Williams both of Benton Harbor MI; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He also leaves a close friend John Woodley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Sr. and Fannie (Whitfield) Williams.
