Our Heavenly Father knows our sadness; He knows our grief and to all of us, He will give us relief. And so it was when death came to Jacqueline. She departed this life Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, MI.
Jacqueline was born Friday, August 29, 1947, at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late James Fair and Leora Wiggins.
Jacqueline was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School and a graduate of Lake Michigan College receiving her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. W.E. Ellis. Jacqueline was a devoted member of the choir. One of her favorite bible verses was “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”, Philippians 4:13.
After retiring from Bosch Manufacturing, Jacqueline relocated to Memphis Tennessee, and joined Breath of Life Seventh Day Adventist Church under the leadership of Nathaniel Drew there; she also sang in the choir.
Throughout her life, Jacqueline lived life to the fullest! She enjoyed cooking large meals during special holidays, shopping, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Jacqueline will forever be remembered in the hearts of her loving children- Gloster “Toby” (Kristen) Johnson of Michigan, Maurice Johnson of Tennessee and Shermeka (Laquan) Gordon of Ohio, sister-Linda Kay (Ivory) Ward, brothers-Nathaniel Wiggins of Ohio, Robert Haggard, Dennis (Jacquelyne) Fair, Darnell (Kay) Fair, former Benton Harbor City Attorney, Darwyn (Volante) Fair, Dana (Nakia) Fair all of Michigan and Darryl (Hazel) Fair of Arizona, grandchildren-JaLisa Boyd, Mya Johnson and Shemika Hudson & a plethora of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family and friends. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents-James Fair and Leora Wiggins, brothers-Freddie Wiggins, James Lee Williams, and Robert Wiggins.
