Henry McGee Jr.

Henry McGee Jr. 65, of Benton Harbor, departed this life on December 19, 2020, at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital in St Joseph. MI.

Henry was born March 4, 1955, in Chicago, IL the son of the late Henry Sr. and Sarah (Council) McGee.  

Henry united in Holy matrimony to the love of his wife Barbara Jean Bownes on April 9, 1973; seven children were born to his union. 

Henry enjoyed seeing his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a very hard worker and worked for many people repairing residential and commercial floors.

Henry leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara McGee; six children Alisha McGee, Angela (Reggie) Lloyd, Antonio McGee (Julisa Willis), Tiffany (Tommie) Swift, Henry McGee, and Tanya McGee (Monteeze Johnson); (23) grandchildren; (23) great-grandchildren; his sister Charlene Brown; his brothers Edward McGee and John Earl; brother-in-laws Esker Bownes Jr. and Albert (Leslie) Bownes; sister-in-laws, Daisy Bownes, Armentha (Victor) Williford and Maureen (Richard) Neal and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Roshonda Bownes, grandson, Travis McGee, his grandmother Alice Slautter two sisters, Gloria Council, and Betty Moore.
