Henry Richard Beaty

Henry Richard Beaty Jr, of Columbia South Carolina formally of Benton Harbor Michigan, pass away on December 28th 2020 Surrounded by his family. Henry affectionally known as “Hanky” was born August 5th 1952 to the late Henry Richard Beaty Sr. and the late Hortence Marie Nails. Henry was the second of twelve siblings.

Henry grew up in Benton Harbor Michigan where he attended Benton Harbor area schools,

Immediately after high school Henry enlisted into the Military Service Army Branch, He served several years in the Army and later returned to Benton Harbor Michigan where he worked for Vail Rubber in SJ joseph Michigan until he landed his dream job with Cook Nuclear plant. Working for the Nuclear plant allowed him to travel all over the country.    

Henry Love to travel, in the early 90’s into the 2000’s Henry moved to New York where he united with the church and started his travel all over again playing the guitar which was one of his greatest joy. Henry continued his travel all over the world until he made his way to Winnsboro, South Carolina where he mate and married Vivian Stevenson. Henry, Love spending time with his children and sharing old stories about western movies and making them laugh with his crazy jokes. Henry was a big fan of bands, His favors were Hall & Oats and Hootie and the blowfish. Henry was a true fan of the Chicago Bears.

Henry leaves precious memories in the hearts of so many love ones, family and friends. His loving wife Vivian Stevenson Beaty, five Children

Terrica (Detori) Mulherion, Katrina (Timothy) Williams and Jamesetta Beaty of Benton Harbor Michigan, Henry Richard Beaty III  of Indianapolis, Indiana and Katasha (Brian) Rice of Irmo, South Carolina.  Four stepchildren, Iyziah Stevenson, Jeremy Stevenson, Otis Taylor and Denekki Elias. Nine Sisters and Brothers,

Tommie (Roberta) Dorsey, Alex (Rachel) William, Richard Philips, Demetrius ( Denesha) Travis, Dovie Cannon, Annette Banda, Carolyn Travis, Rita( Vernell) Broadway and Michelle Taylor. Thirteen grandchildren, Jasmine McGee, Aliece Mulherion, Amari Mulherion, Jessie Hernandez Jr, Chyanne Scott, Cailyn Green, Zoe Jennings, Terarreyeh Hardin, Caelan Williams, Ireland Williams , Kennedy Beaty , Courtney Lee and Brian Rice Jr. and Six great Grandchildren,Alaiya,Camille, Jessiah, Bentley, Nyla, and Korben.

He is proceeded in death, By his parent Henry and Hortence,

Stepmother Virginia Beaty, sister Tremell Gurnsey and Brother Robert Travis
