Gloria Jean (Love) Hunt was born October 29, 1955, in South Bend, IN. to the union of the late Alex Love and Epsie Wilson Love. Gloria was the eldest of six children.
In August of 1978, Gloria married John Dallas Hunt and to that union one son, Isaiah Lamar Hunt Sr. was born.
“Nannie” as she was affectionately called was loved by many and some might say that was the life of the party. She enjoyed sports and many other things, but Nannie was best for her voice. And a dynamic singer she was, she shared her gift of songs with The Ever Readys, The Gospel Tones, and The Shirley Adams Singers with which she recorded songs such as “Waiting On You Patiently, I Need Thee, Sinner Man, Great Day, and Faith & Grace
Beautiful memories of Gloria will be remembered by her only son Isaiah (Nikki) Hunt Sr. Two sisters: Evelina Thomas of Indianapolis, Indiana and Janice (Tim) Williams of Benton Harbor, Michigan, One Aunt: Cora Love, Seven grandchildren, Two God Sons: Tobey Johnson and Chauncey Darden Sr. One God Daughter: Ora Dale Special Sisters: Tracy Jones of South Bend, Indiana, Shirley Adams of McDonough, Georgia, Renee Jones of Dallas, Texas and Cynthia Cage of Chicago, Illinois. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Epsie Love, Brothers: George Love, Jessie Love and Louis C. Love, Godmother Dorothy Nesbit, special friend Ora Johnson, Grandson Xavier Hunt, and two special nephews Terrance “Teddy Bear” Price and Chauncey Darden Jr.
