Evelyn R. Glanton

Evelyn R. Glanton, 69 of Florrisant, MO formerly of Benton Harbor departed this life March 8, 2020.

 Evelyn Glanton was born December 16, 1950, to the union of Joseph and Canvas Walker in Detroit Mi. Relocated to Benton Harbor Michigan in 1943. After Graduating from Benton Harbor High School, she married Robert Lee Woods Sr. on March 13, 1969.

 She later married the “Love” of her life James Glanton on September 6.1985, she went and received her certificate in nursing where she performed private duties, she as well worked as a caseworker for the Department of Family Services. Later in life, she worked as a manager at Burger King.

 But she was well known for working and playing Bingo as much and as often as possibly allowed. (Her One True Passion). She enjoyed Cooking, Bowling, Playing Cards and Bingo which was her best hobby. Her family was her true passion.

Evelyn is survived by daughter Ericka Walker Williams, son Shean Lamont Woods, son Alfred Thomas Wilson, son Edward Williams, stepdaughter LaRhondia Michelle Williams.    Sisters, Ruby Walker, Ruth Smith, Deborah (Johnny) Walker, Brothers, Steven (Cynthia) Walker, Johnnie Edward Walker. 5 Grandchildren Aricka (Gregory) Cook, Larritha Phillips, Gwendolyn Williams all from St. Louis, Mo. Edward G. Williams Jr., Robert Marquis Woods from Indianapolis/Kokomo In. 2 Greatgrandchildren Mickael Walker and Gregory Cook Jr. from St Louis, Mo.

Special friends Nicki Roberson. And Doris McKinney Goddaughter Mary Gayfield, Regina Hooks, Freddie Carouthers, Godson Steven (Putt) Poindexter and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her husband James Glanton, son Robert Woods Jr., parents Joseph and Canvas Walker, siblings Joseph Walker, Mary Vinson, Elmore Walker, Elizabeth Anne Carpenter.
