Eleanor Jewel Smith, born in Portageville, MO. August 3, 1945, to the union of Velma and Ollie Price of St. Louis, MO.

Jewel married A.D Smith Jr on August 17, 1963, in Benton Harbor MI. To this union of 7 children were born. Jewel passed away at Lakeland Spectrum Regional Hospital on April 9th, 2020 due to a long illness. Jewel will be missed by many; she had a beautiful personality and a loving spirit which drew so many to her.

Jewel leaves precious memories in the hearts of her children and siblings; Lenora & Leslie Richmond of Benton Harbor MI, Marcia Davis of Benton Harbor MI, Shelia & Byrant Smith of Nashville TN, Rolanda & John Russell of Alexandria LA, Carla Miller of Battle Creek MI, and Angela Coakley of Grand Rapids MI, older brother Ollie James Price of Detroit MI & younger brother Micheal Price of Kalamazoo MI.

Jewel leaves to cherish her memories with 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, and family, Aunt Gladys Buckner of Benton Harbor MI, and a special friend Willa Beene Brown of Columbia, Maryland

Jewel is Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son (Allan Darryl Smith), Grandson (James Price Jr.), Great Granddaughter (Kenya Tatum). Brothers: Tyrone C. Price, Wyman Price, Donnie Price, Jerry Price, Kenneth Price, Stanley Price, and Marvin Price & Sisters: Sheldia Shepherd and Bernice Price.
