Michael Gulley Sr. entered eternal rest on January 14, 2026. A person of faith, love, and quiet strength, Michael lived a life devoted to serving others and honoring what mattered most to him — God, family, and runny eggs.
Born on September 9, 1946, Michael was baptized at Hopewell Baptist Church at age 12. That seed of faith grew into a lifetime of ministry — serving as an ordained minister and pastor to two churches in Michigan. Before ministry, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was an avid bowler, famous for his legendary “Gulley Pose,” and could always be found hunting down the latest movie.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Catrena Gulley Huffman (Donald), Mario Cummings, Tara Gulley, Michael Gulley Jr., Charmin Gulley, Lori Benton (Magic), David White, and LuJuan White; and siblings: Rodney Chester Gulley (Mary), Nancy McClendon, Michael Rodney King, Carol Ann, and Sandra Banks.
“His smile, warmth, and faith will never be forgotten.”
