Earnest Griffin a resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan was born January 20, 1967, in St. Joseph, Michigan to William, Sr. & Ernestine Griffin. Earnest was a graduate of the Berrien Springs High School Class of 1985. Earnest enjoyed traveling and spent much of his life as an over the road truck driver.

Earnest was preceded in death by his father, William Griffin, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Charlie Griffin, O.J. & Marie McGhee; maternal grandparents, Elijah Holmes, Louis & Winnie McGhee; nephews, Lorenzo and Clayton; and a niece Tiaya.
